Thornton High School's existing steel windows were several decades old, several leaked, and they were not energy efficient.  Tria Architecture replaced the old window units with new energy efficient aluminum windows with insulated glazing panels.  The black color of the frames recaptures some of the beauty of the original 1899 school building.
