Potentially located near the county courthouse in Kankakee, Illinois this bus transfer station will provide protection from the elements for passengers awaiting their busses.  The tensile fabric of the shelters is stretched between steel framing members which are suspended from concrete columns.  The bases of the columns take on a sculptural form as they reach the ground where they are surrounded by glass walls to protect waiting passengers from the wind.
