The City of Country Club Hills and the
Meadowview Elementary School share the
gymnasium attached to the school
building. The old gymnasium did not
meet the City's needs for sports
camps and competitive play, while the worn
condition of the existing tile flooring
system and lack of bleachers did not provide
the school the ability to take full
advantage of the space.
Tria Architecture was brought in to assist
both parties in upgrading the function and
appearance of the gymnasium. The tile
flooring was replaced with a hardwood
court. The entire gymnasium was
painted and bleachers were added along one
wall to accommodate the student population.
The City now uses the gymnasium for
basketball camps and after school
competitive leagues. The school has a
beautiful new gym space that can be used for
gym classes as well as student assemblies.
With Tria's help both the City and the
school district got a new gymnasium that
they can take pride in calling their own. |
